Beatspoke is organic soul and gritty truth. Sub-bass lines and unpredictable beats, melodies and lyrics tell of personal trials, growth and consciousness in world that is in dire need of change.

DJ Vadim describes it as ¨hard beats, singing, poetry, synth b lines, like a down tempo Bugz in the Attic vs. Spacek vs. guys in Detroit like Wajeed and J Dilla…¨

The project began in 2003 when American vocalist Sarah Gessler moved to Barcelona and met native producer Josh Fontan through joining the underground music scene. Since then they have been performing in festivals and clubs in Europe and the USA sharing stages with artists such as DJ Vadim, Bonobo, Wax Tailor, Diplo, Zero DB, Bugz in the Attic, Elliot Lipp, Rich Medina, RQM, Al-Haca & Stereotype amongst others.

Since the debut of their album ¨No Rush¨ in early 2009 and the release of two ¨No Rush¨ remix EPs in Japan and Europe, they´ve been nominated for and won several awards as well as received a tremendous response from the media. Most recently they won the Gilles Peterson´s World Wide Festival Talent Search 2009 and they are currently nominated for Best First Album by Radio Grenouille 88.8 FM.

Beatspoke vs. Exposure - the remix project pt. 2
This second edition of Beatspoke remixes is dished out by some well-known European artists. Starting with a Balearic midtempo disco version by Parisian Blackjoy, followed by sampletastic DJ Vadim hiphop freshness and Ishfaq's eclectic French-rap smoother, this 5 track EP´s got a flavor for everyone. To wrap it up, Zero DB member Dave Da Gato hits hard with a dubby intrumental and last but not least an acoustic funk version by Onbeyond.
